Photography and social media are two inseparable elements that always go hand in hand. Most of photographers especially beginners will always post their works on Facebook, twitter, instagram and etc. to show them off to people. They expect to get good comments and some feedbacks as well as praises. But there are some of their habits that can annoy us. Here are some types of photographers who got some irritating habits that you may come across on social media:

1. Critical and opinionated type
This type of photographer has a great ability in criticizing other photographers’ works harshly on social media. It is true that positive or well-intended criticism really give you encouragement and lesson to sort of better your work in the future. But it can be very annoying when they give you only negative criticisms without providing some advices or solutions. Commonly, this type of photographer who can only criticize actually does not have the ability to create good work himself.

2. SELFIE enthusiast
There are so many people who call themselves photographers but when you look at their photo album, there is nothing but the images of themselves or some menus of their breakfast as well as the clothes they wear today. What is worst is when they post their image posing in front of their bathroom’s vanity. It will be more appropriate if they call themselves as SELFIEGRAPHER.

3. Massive tagging
This is the type of photographer that I hate most. When he or she uploads his photo on a social media, he will tag almost all his friends so they will get flooded with unwanted notifications.

4. Massive hashtag
It is quite similar to the previous type but this photographer will use tens of hashtag every time they upload a photo. In fact, some of them will add hashtags that have no relation to their photo.

5. Paranoid photographer
One method which is commonly used to make sure our photos are not stolen or taken by others when we upload it on the internet is by adding watermark. A good watermark is one which is not too striking when you add it onto your photo and will not ruin its beauty. But sometimes, because of his fear, this type of photographer will add a big and striking watermark. Of course there will be no one to take this image and steals it because no one can enjoy its beauty anymore.

6. lazy photographer
This type of photographer likes to ask, be it about the function of the camera or the technique of taking image. Well, they may ask and rightly so and it is fine but when they ask simple questions all the time, it can get very disturbing. For example, they come with questions like “what is the function of ISO in a camera?” or what is light meter?” which answers can be found in their manual guide book or in internet Google. Remember, before you ask questions in an online forum or social media, make sure you have tried to find the answers before, like checking your manual guide book, asking friends, or browsing on Goggle first. Only if you really cannot find the answer then you may ask on forum. Don’t be lazy.
