Tripod is an apparatus that should be considered important especially by beginners in photography. Most of them take too much importance on the great camera body and lens whereas the tripod role is actually very important especially for photographers who like to shoot landscapes. There are so many kinds of tripod but the most common one is tripod made of aluminum alloy or the combination of aluminum alloy and plastic. Apart from that there are tripods made of carbon fiber. What are the differences between them? Here is the explanation.
Aluminum of the same size is heavier than carbon fiber because it is more solid. The solidity of aluminum is 2.7 gram per cubic centimeter. So with the same weight, carbon fiber-made tripod is steadier. Unfortunately, not all parts of the tripod can be replaced by carbon fiber.
