1. Wiley Post & Will Rogers

Wiley Post was the first solo pilot to have flown around the world along with his best friend Will Rogers, who were also both a famous comedian and social commentator. This photograph (Will on the left standing on the plane’s wing sporting a tie and a hat) was taken on August 15, 1935, before their aircraft took off from Alaska. Once the aircraft was airport, with the land crew witnessing, the aircraft blew up due to engine failure and instantly killed them both. The airfield in Alaska where the incident occur is now named Wiley Post – Will Rogers Memorial Airport.

2. John and Jackie Knill

In January 13, 2005, two bodies of a Canadia couple were found on the coast of Thailand. They were both victims of the massive tsunami that struck Southeast Asia in December 26, 2004 that killed many. A week after, a Seattle American officer evacuating the tsunami victims found a broken digital camera and saved the memory card. The officer looked though the photos and saw that the last photo of their vacation photographs show a massive wave minutes before it struck them that dated 8:30 AM December 26. The officer that found said camera spread the photos over the internet as a missing person report. Once someone recognized them, he sent the photos to their surviving children in Vancouver, Canada.

A photograph can be very valuable because of the image that it depicts. It may be of a once-in-a-lifetime moment or of a time and place you once loved. But over time, the aging process of a photograph is inevitable. If not stored correctly, a photo can be damaged over time and you may lose a very important memory.
Below are tips you can apply to your photograph collections to keep them highly durable:

1. Do not expose your photographs to direct sunlight.
Because UV rays in sunlight can fade the color and damage the photo or the frame. The easiest way to avoid this is to keep them away from windows or doors. If that’s not possible, you can lessen the damaging effects by keeping the photos behind a layer of glass or acrylic that has a layer of UV. The D3100 is built around a 14.2 megapixel CMOS sensor, bringing not only live view but also Full HD video capture to Nikon’s entry-level model for the first time. In fact, this made it the first Nikon DSLR to offer 1920×1080 movie recording. It can only record clips up to about ten minutes long (due to a 4Gb maximum file size limitation shared by all DSLRs), but this still counts as an impressive feature addition at this level. Slinkachu is a artist based in London. He showcases an extraordinary work of photography aptly named “The Little People Project,” which consists of photographs of miniatures. What’s interesting, these photos were shot by staging a scene of miniatures in streets, creating a world like no other.

Slinkachu has been an ongoing project since 2006, and has been shot in many cities of every corner of the work. After photographs, the miniatures are left there as is on the streets and due to its tiny size, any random things can happen to them.
