This music video by Androp creatively uses a large stack of Canon EOS60D DSLRs and flashes to create light patterns and stop motion footage. Obviously a big budget production, this music video uses a total of 250 cameras equipped with flashes and wired to be programmed to trigger on cue. The different patterns are made from the different flashes triggered simultaneously.

It’s quite technical, as seen on the behind-the-scenes of this video. But one does wonder if this many units of camera wasn’t a waste of a budget, because logically speaking, this can be done using just the flashes without it having to be mounted on individual cameras. Flashes are capable of being triggered remotely on its own. But then with this day and age of corporate marketing and product placements, they were probably supplied by Canon to subliminally market their product. (that’s just the cynical me talking though)

In any case, it’s still VERY cool. Another proof that the awesomeness of a camera really boils down to the creativity of the users.
